porcelain mug; real gold patterned shiny gold; 300 ml, height: 11,3 cm; dishwasher safe; in gift box.
A series inspired by the facades of Vienna’s most familiar and best-loved art nouveau buildings, hand-decorated with real gold.
The Vienna Secession was a union formed in April 1897 by Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser, Gustav Klimt and other artists in order to disassociate themselves from the Wiener Künstlerhaus, with its tendency towards conservatism and historicism.
The predominant symbol of the exhibition building, the laurel framing the entrance gate of the Secession, skilfully decorates this elegant, subtle art nouveau porcelain mug. A little bit of Viennese art history for the home!
